SuperShuttle Phoenix • Operated in Phoenix metro area since 1986 • Exclusive contract at Sky Harbor and service agreement with Phoenix Mesa Gateway • (Mixed) fleet of (90) 7-pax Ford E-350s • 35-40 mile radius service area/600K pax/year • All individual franchises – many are double shift operations • Vehicle life span of 4-5 yrs
Alternate Fuel System Priorities • EPA & CARB certified systems • Efficient conversion process • Reasonable conversion cost • Reasonable fuel economy – minimum 10mpg • Mileage range – minimum 300 per fill • Engine performance and reliability
Fueling Infrastructure Needs • 24/7 fueling availability • Multiple convenient locations • Simplistic operation of fuel stations • Substantial savings vs. gasoline • Point of Sale transaction capability • Reliable operation of fuel sites
Current Program/Impact • 75 Roush Clean Tech LPG vans currently in service • On-site fuel station installed April 2010 – selling 35,000 gallons per month • 750,000 fewer gallons of gasoline burned per year • $10,000 average fuel savings per year for each SuperShuttle franchise • $5000 average net savings per year per franchise • Positive customer reaction
Propane Program Expansion • 10 additional units to be added in 2014 • Plans to upgrade to 18,000 gallon underground fuel storage tank • Propane fleet expansion in Houston, Denver, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville and Ft. Collins • Implementation to various other markets in future
