Goal • To help increase the, quality, diversity, learning and scale of conflict programming in CARE. • Functions • Networking and connecting • Knowledge Management • Advocacy • Capacity building/ Technical assistance
Full Objectives Objectives: • To capture, document and share knowledge and experiences in conflict, including highlighting innovation, so providing mutual support and resources to staff. • To act as a group so that knowledge can be translated through discussion and learningintoimproved policy, practice and guidelines • To engage in CI advocacy initiatives to share the experience, knowledge and perspectives of CCP members.
By March 2013, the CCP will: • Have over 100 diverse members,with representatives from 25 most conflict affected countries in CARE • Have a variety of virtual interaction opportunities, • Have an annual meeting and workshop • Facilitate at least two exchanges between CCP members per year
By March 2013, the CCP will • Have at least four active working groups, One of these groups should have an advocacy focus. • Have an accessible and well stocked library of resources online, and a clear framework for programming peacebuilding and conflict sensitivity in CARE. • Have monthly email bulletins updating the whole community on latest news, documents, discussion and work. • Generate 50% of its budget from institutional donors, and have a fundraising plan in place for generating the remaining income from other sources.

Background • CIUK not a CoE for Conflict, PECCN is only one. • Idea starts in 2006 • Strategy in draft form, • Focus is on functionality • Larger than CIUK
Draft Vision Conflict CoE would be… A CI resource that promotes the quality and impact of CARE’s work in conflict sensitivity and peacebuilding, by facilitating best practice and learning, providing guidance and support, and promoting a coherent approach to work in and on conflict across the federation.
