  1. 2. INTRODUCTION Candida albicans is normally present in the body, and the vaginal mucosa. Infection of the vaginal mucosa is found in 50% of women under the age of 25 years, while 75% of women during their lifetime is at least one vaginal candidiasis. It becomes over-developed in cases of a low immune system, after the use of antibiotics, steroids or contraceptives, diabetes, disorders of vaginal acidity-pH. The mycotics can be transferred to a sexual partner, in whom, often, there is no manifestation of symptoms of infection, but they can retransmit the fungus. In this way the fungus can return, if both partners are not treated simultaneously.

  3. Symptoms Symptoms of vaginal  infections are • vaginal discharge  (varying from white watery, to thick and sticky white secretion, with a consistency resembling cottage cheese),), • itching, • burning,  • and sometimes rash, • inflammation of the mucous membrane of the vulva and vagina, • painful intercourse and  • painful urination

  4. Treatment Treatment involves the use of local antifungals miconazole Tioconazole Butoconazole Clotrimazole Nystatin Terconazole  -  and sometimes systemic antifungals.Of natural remedies, St John's wort is often used in the form of vaginal tablets, but it is often combined with other herbs, capsules with selected strains of probiotics for the regulation of vaginal flora.Kandidol oil with eugenol is an active substance with a strong antimycotic effect. Administered with appropriate diet and oil for systemic use.

  5. Kandidol oil Eugenol, the main phenolic compounds of oil Kandidol has proven antifungal activity. Research results clearly show that eugenol very efficiently against Candida albicans and also has an effective anti-inflammatory and antifungal activity. 6. AIM The aim of the research study is testing the effectiveness of integrative therapies for the treatment of lower genital tract infections caused by yeast (Shroder Group VI) and synergistic effects of therapy in vaginal candidiasis

  7. MATERIAL AND METHOD The study was prospective, in the outpatient clinic, with the consent of the patient All patients were gynecologically examined and underwent colposcopy, Pap smear test and vaginal Candida. Those with positive results were divided into 3 groups according to the way of treatment: the first group with vaginal antifungal therapy, the second group with Kandidol therapy, and the third with both therapies.

  8. RESULTS Therapy effect was observed in all three groups of respondents.  In the first group  there was a slight withdrawal of symptoms after 2 vaginal tablets or 48 hours after the initiation of the therapy. The complete therapy was to be continued in order to have a healing effect.  In the second group most symptoms disappeared in the first day, and a seven day therapy was needed for a healing effect. The group III symptoms disappeared in the highest percentage on the first day, and the period of both the treatment and healing period was reduced to 5 days.

  9. dugoročni klinički efekat First control start Second control Vagantimycotic Third control Kandidol Both 1.day Duration therapy 10 day

  10. Simptoms after 24 hours of therapy 2= 12,1 df=9 p=0,034

  12. Efikasnostsinergije

  13. RESULTS Statistically significant difference between  the treatment groups I and II compared to III.  There was a statistically significant difference in the occurrence of relapses in the third group compared to the first two groups

  14. CONCLUSION There are many effective pharmaceutical drugs for the treatment of vaginal candidiasis, and many other methods that are reliable and effective. TheIntegrative principle of the therapy that is based on sinergystic had a significantly better therapeutic effect, a shorter treatment time, fewer recurrences and fewer adverse effects.
