Flexibility • Resident Choice (RC) will allow you to continue to eat one meal a day as you presently are, or offer you flexibility in when and where you eat your meals. No more need to get a To Go Meal if you are going out. You can use your dollars at another time. • RC dollars may not be used for guest meals, alcohol, concentrated sweets (candy), non-food items in Outtakes, or catering. (One meal credit and 25% service charge will still be allowed for block parties.)
Flexibility • You will now be able to use your RC dollars in the main dining room, Bistro, Water’s Edge and for food items in the Oasis and Outtakes
Pricing • All items will be priced a-la-cart • A new a-la-cart breakfast menu will be introduced • In the main dining room we have averaged the price for each course we are currently serving, to allow you to have the same selection as you have now for your daily meal credit, or you may eat a-la-cart
Pricing • Soup, Appetizer or Juice $1.50 • Salad $1.75 • Entrée, Sandwich, Entrée Salad $5.00 • Vegetables ($1.00 each, get two) $2.00 • Desserts $1.75 • Beverage $1.00 • Total $13.00 • One roll or bread is included with your lunch and dinner
Pricing • If we add a special in the main dining room and it does not fall into your daily meal credit, it will have a ++ after the price • If you eat in the dining room for buffets or a holiday meal, your daily meal credit will be deducted
Pricing • Guests will pay the a-la-cart prices plus tax, or guest price for buffets and holiday meals plus tax
Linking • Couples will have their plans linked, so total dollars show as one. You will receive only one receipt at the table to sign • For all residents: • Your current Resident Choice balance will be on the bottom of your receipt • Your house account balance (Wine, beer, guest meals, catering etc.) for the actual month will also be listed
Plan • Monthly meal allowance will be based on the number of days in the month • To avoid everyone utilizing end of the month dollars on the same day, residents will be divided alphabetically and assigned to rollover dates on the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th and 25th • 5th A-C • 10th D-H • 15th I-M • 20th N-R • 25th S-Z
Plan • Computer will pro-rate account when we start • Example: • Start date Resident Choice January 17th • Last name Richards: 20th is rollover day • 3 day credit will be allotted for 17th to 19th of January • Then on the January 20th : 31 days credit for January 20th through February 19th will be posted • Will always have a credit for every day • Number of monthly credits equals the number of days of the month in which you are rolling over. On February 20th , you will receive 29 days, on March 20th you will receive 31 days, etc.
Plan • Last day to use your Resident Choice dollars from the previous month is the day before your roll-over date • We will evaluate Resident Choice frequently to be sure it’s meeting your needs and will make adjustments if needed
Credits • Vacation – Must be away for more than seven days and fill out an absence form at the front desk. You may choose to be given a $4.00 a day food credit and have the daily Resident Choice amount deducted on the days absent, or not take daily food credit and retain Resident Choice daily amount • Hospitalization – Notify front desk and a $4.00 a day credit will be given for each full day in hospital and daily meal credit deducted on those days • Health Care – No food credit will be given and daily Resident Choice amount will be deducted
Daily / Monthly Meal Credit • The Daily meal credit includes food cost, disposable cost, direct expenses and labor • For 2012 the daily food credit will be $13.00 or: • 29 Day Month $377.00 • 30 Day Month $390.00 • 31 Day Month $403.00 • To enjoy an appetizer, salad, entrée, two vegetables, desert, and beverage in a nice restaurant, this compares very favorably
Other Dining Services Initiatives • Two weeks will be added to the present dining room menu. Creating a six week cycle menu • Main dining room menu will be revised to include: Type of fish, food items requested by residents will be added, two deserts will be available daily • Two new soups will be available daily and many ARC favorites will return to the menu • Rollout a new menu in Bistro • Expand and revise Water’s Edge menu • New catering Manual will be implemented
