Churches are normally used for religious reasons and most churches allow ceremonies in them for example Weddings, Funerals, Baptistry. Sometimes in a church they are readings read by a priest from a Bible and they is normally a pray said by the priest which everybody says Amen at the end. The pray is too God for thanking everything that we have. A baptism font is an item of furniture used to baptize adults, children and also babies. It can also be small bowl where you baptize in. The small baptistry fonts are used for the children and the babies where they place water on there foreheads in the shape of a cross. Adults are baptised fully where they fully immerge in the water. These fonts are big and sometimes they have steps leading down into them, and the water is placed in these fonts enough for the adults to get fully immerged in the water. In funerals they is a priest that will read from the Bible this will be the same for weddings, Baptistry and Church services. The Bible is very important to the Christians today because if they read it the they will be closer to God and have a very strong relationship with him. In addition to this people read the bible because they want to spend more time with God and they want to know what his character is like and they also believe that if they read it then they will be closer with God and be with him.
