  3. What are community health centers doing in a tax coalition? • WEALTH is a social determinant of HEALTH • Our patients live with CHRONIC financial stress • Our communities are rife with financial services that are PREDATORY

Alignment with our Fiscal Health Mission • To INTEGRATE financial health as a standard of PRIMARY CARE at community health centers • To DIAGNOSE root financial causes of chronic poverty and REMEDIATE them • To SYTEMATICALLY improve the FINANCIAL health of our patients as the foundation for improving their PHYSICAL health

  5. Tax Preparation as an Inflection Point Free tax prep alone will change the course of a family’s economical trajectory dramatically; but over time, as trust develops, more financial services can be layered on at the tax site and the impact is exponential.
