PremiSys Licensing • No hardware keys (dongle) • License code is used to activate via online, fax, email or phone • Price is based on: • PremiSys or PremiSys Pro • with or without PremiSysID • Contact IDenticard to transfer a license registration to another PC, or to extend your 30-day trial period (Try Mode)

Controller Overview Wiring for power and verifying power and operation • Power supplies are sold separately (3 Amp or 10 Amp) • Observe polarity for all DC wiring • Locate power supply as close to the controller as possible • Use twisted pair, 18 AWG wire • LEDs indicate proper powering and response Controllers and I/O boards typically do not power auxiliary devices. Under certain circumstances, readers can be powered by the board. Under special circumstances, door strikes may be powered by POE equipment. Otherwise, use auxiliary power.
Controller Overview General Practices for Grounding • Don’t connect shields on data cables to signal-ground pins • Use dedicated wires for signal grounds • Connect the grounding lug in the enclosure to an earth ground • Connect cable shield to the grounded lug in the enclosure, but only at one end, usually the controller

I/O Communications PREM-CTLR-IP has two downstream I/O communication channels IP Controller IP • The IP controller has no onboard door control • A total of 64 I/O boards may be wired downstream (eight can be Series 9000) • Up to 32 boards on each of two downstream channels, addressed 0-31 • No more than 32 total reader boards total downstream for a total maximum of 64 readers. Other I/O boards would have to be the input-only or output-only boards

Fail-Safe Mag Lock Door Locks Use an IDenticard Suppressor Kit if the door lock does not have transient clamping. The kit should be located as close to the load as possible (within 12 inches). Fail-Secure Door Strike Suppressor Kit Make sure the lock equipment does not exceed relay contact ratings: 5A @ 28 VDC
