Goddess Worship Today • Goddess- embraced by today's followers of witchcraft, radical feminism, the occult, and increasingly, those in the liberal church. • Followers look toward an idealized feminine age to heal the world because to them, the masculine age has been an age of destruction and broken relationships.

  3. The Goddess and Witchcraft • Leaders: Wiccans and practitioners of witchcraft • Wiccans consider the goddess as the giver of life. • Image of the Goddess inspires followers to see themselves as divine, their bodies as sacred, the changing phases of their lives as holy, their aggression as healthy, and their anger as purifying.

  4. The Occult Twist • Followers believe that the Goddess, resides within and simply needs to be awakened. • Male energies must diminish and feminine energies must increase in order for the Goddess to empower the individual, then the culture.

  5. The Goddess and the Church • Goddess taught through seminars and then enters the liberal church. • Goal is to remove God’s testament and his people off the face of the earth.
