Introduction Variables C = cost of flight H = time of flight (hours) D = economy class or business class T = How many tickets are bought Formula C = (300H + D) x T Example: 2 tickets on a in business class 12 hour flight: C = (300 x 12 + 200) x 2 C = (3,600 + 200) x 2 C = 3,800 x 2 C = 7,600 Flight cost of 2 business tickets for a 12 hour flight = 7,600 Qr • In this project I chose to do the 2nd option. • My unit question is “How can I provide an efficient service for my customers?” • I chose to do my project about an airline manager and I created a formula make the cost of each ticket depending on their flight time. In this PowerPoint I am going to talk about the cost of economy class tickets in different flight time situations, and business class tickets in different flight time situations.

  3. Economy class tickets • This shows how much and economy class ticket costs in flights of 0 to 16 hours every time. • The table bellow shows the information of all the flights from 0 to 16 hours for economy class and business class going up by 2 hours every time. If more than one ticket is bought or needed for the same flight, then multiply the cost of the flight by the amount of tickets that you need to buy. This graph shows how the formula works. It takes the number of hours of the flight, then it multiplies it by 300, and then adds the extra money for being in economy class, which is +100 Qr.

  4. Economy class tickets graph • This is the graph showing the same information that the table in the previous slide showed. This is how the cost of a ticket rises depending on the flight time to the to the destination that the ticket is for. Also in economy class the tickets cost 100 Qr less than the business class tickets. This graph only shows how the cost of the ticket rises. If you need to buy more than one ticket for the same flight then multiply the cost for one ticket, by how many tickets you need to buy.

  5. Business class tickets • This is how much a business ticket cost. I will show you 9 different flight time situations and show how the formula can help to figure out the cost of these tickets. I will use flight times, which go from 0 to 16 and I am going to do even numbers. • The table bellow shows the cost of a ticket for flights with the times mentioned This table shows how the value of a ticket rises higher than the ticket value in the last table for the economy class ticket. It rises higher because it has to a 200 Qr Because it is in business class.

  6. Business class tickets graph • This is a graph showing the information on the table. It shows how low and how high the prices for a ticket can get depending on the flight time. It is also in business class so the tickets cost 100 Qr more than the economy class tickets. It shows how much flights which are from 0 to 16 hours long, can cost. If you need to buy more than one ticket, then just multiply the cost of one ticket by how many tickets you need.
