  3. Parish Prayer Holy Trinity, Ingham God our Father, we pray for your blessing on this our Parish. May it be a place where the sorrowing find comfort and the tempted strength; where the lonely find fellowship and the sinner forgiveness; where the faithful find grace, and all offer you holy worship; in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN INGHAM is the start of the “Great Green Way” indicating the commencement of Rain Forests; Hinchinbrook, the largest National Park Island shelters the coast from Lucinda to Cardwell, 57 kms north. The sheltered waters are a haven for the mangrove fishing areas. Great fishing on the Barrier Reef is accessible. Peloris, Palm, Orpheus and other Islands are just off the coast and on a clear day Magnetic Island, off Townsville, can be seen. Tourist attractions include Wallaman Falls, Jourama Falls, Mt Fox extinct volcano and beautiful Beaches, Tyto Wetlands and Parks. Holy Trinity, Ingham All Soul’s, Victoria Estate Our Saviour’s, Halifax Where is INGHAM, NQ? • 120 km North of Townsville, 230 km South of Cairns. • District population approximately 12,000, with a high Italian influence. • Primarily sugar growing area. • Thriving beef industry. • Timber plantations. • Fishing industry at Lucinda. • Port of Lucinda has 5.7km jetty for bulk loading sugar to world markets. • Three High Schools and 15 Primary Schools (including Prep.) 2 Child Care Centres and 2 Kindergartens • Ageing community supported by three Aged Care facilities. • Support services for people with disabilities. • Tourism with several caravan parks in Ingham, Taylors Beach, Forrest Beach and Lucinda with fishing being the main attraction

Holy Trinity, Ingham All Soul’s, Victoria Estate Our Saviour’s, Halifax Parish History • Established in 1883 • Ingham Parish belongs to the central Deanery of the Diocese of North Queensland. • Holy Trinity rebuilt in 1954 to replace an old wooden structure built in 1886. The church is surrounded by a large expanse of lawn, large Raine Trees and garden beds. A large parish hall is erected on the grounds for community use. • Services are held Saturday at 6.00pm and Sunday at 9.00am followed by morning tea. • Our Saviour’s, established in 1886, situated in a small hamlet near the bank of the Herbert River, 20 minutes from Ingham. • Services are held every Sunday at 7.30am • All Soul’s Memorial Church, Victoria Estate built in 1922 as a Memorial to the Estate Soldiers who died in the 1st World War is 10 minutes from Ingham. • Services by special arrangement. • Parish Roll shows 300 families.

HOLY TRINITY Sundays 9am Holy Communion OUR SAVIOUR Sundays 7.30am Holy Communion Mid Week: Regular Services held at Aged Care centres: Tuesdays 9.15am Blue Haven Lodge, 58 Cassady Street, Ingham 1st Wed of month 10.30am The Palms Village, Arthur Fadden Drive, Ingham 2nd & 4th Thursdays 9.30am Canossa Home, Trebonne Everyone welcome to join friends and family members at these Services.

PARISH DIARY MONTHLY MARKETS – 2nd Sat. 7am-11am Conroy Hall – all under cover – • ‘Triple C’ – (Christian Coffee Club): Bargain B’fasts, Magnificent Morning Teas, served to tables. • Stall holders welcome Ph 47771671 for enquiries. SUPA SATURDAY KIDS CLUB run in conjunction with Markets. 9 -11am Holy Trinity Church and lawn. Primary school age children.

Holy Trinity, Ingham All Soul’s, Victoria Estate Our Saviour’s, Halifax Parish Activities • MU Australia has 35 members including the NQ Diocesan President and 1 NQ Executive Members. • GFS – Kidslink meet monthly with Supa Saturday Kids Club with up to 30 children participating. This activity is supported by 5 Leaders. • ‘Special Family’ Service held monthly with a focus on children being involved. • Rumpus Room- ‘Mainly Music’ held every Wednesday morning 9.30am for Parents and children under 5 years. • Cursillo Movement has 11 Cursillistas. • Bible Study - 2 KYB Parish groups. • Music – 4 Organists and Children’s Church Orchestra. • Guild – Active Halifax Guild • Monthly Community Markets held in the Parish Hall. • Debutante Ball held annually. • Fellowship Nights held monthly. • Active Social Committee • Parent Education Program (PEP) – MU Project with 6 trained facilitators.

Holy Trinity, Ingham All Soul’s, Victoria Estate Our Saviour’s, Halifax Financial viability • Although not flush with money, history shows we have always been able to pay the bills with the help of fundraising i.e. Debutante Ball and Monthly Markets. • Current assets include: • Parish Rectory • Parish Hall • Three Churches • Parish Car • Modern office equipment

Holy Trinity, Ingham All Soul’s, Victoria Estate Our Saviour’s, Halifax Future Developments • A Government Memorial Restorations Grant has been received on $ for $ basis to the total expenditure of $18,000. We have to fund-raise $9,000 to receive the govt grant of $9,000 to do maintenance work on All Souls Church, Victoria Estate. • Increase the personal contact with fringe Parishioners.
