FamilyRule :2 (2) • Wife or Husband of G.S. • Father and Mother (also step mother) • Children, Step Children, adopted Children, Wholly dependent on G.S.
Authorised Medical AttendantRule : 3 • Medical officers Working in Govt. Hospital or Medical Institutions • For authorised Hospitals or Institutions specified in schedule-I Reg. Medical Attendant incharge of respective wing
Controling Officer • Heads of Dept. • The officers empowered to countersign T.A. Bill.
Govt. Hospital • A Hospital or Dispensary run by central Govt. or state Govt. or a corporation or other local body where the office is situated. • In respect of G.S. working in the karnatakaBhavan, New Delhi the Medical Attendance received from the specified Doctors, Clinics, Hospitals or Diagnostic centres etc. recognised under the central Govt. Health scheme shall be deemed to be Medical Attendance received in Govt. Hospital
Package RateRule : 3 (e) • “Package rate” shall Mean and include lump sum cost of in – patient treatment / day care / diagnostic procedure for which a beneficiary has availed or for treatment under emergency from the time of admission to the time of discharge, including (but not limited to) the following charges • Registration • Admission
Accommodation including diet • Operation • Injection • Dressing • Doctor / consultant visit • ICV / ICCV • Monitoring • Transfusion
Anesthesia • Operation theatre • Procedural charge, surgeons fee • Cost of surgical disposals and sundries during hospitalisation • Cost of medicines • Related routine, essential investigation • Physiotherapy • Nursing care
Provided where one or more minor procedures form part of major treatment procedure, then the package rate would be the rate admissible for major procedure and only 50% of the package rate for minor procedure.
TreatmentRule : 3(h) • Use of all medical, x - ray, surgical facilities • Supply of medicines available in hospital • Prescription for medicines by AMA • Supply of such quantity of blood
Treatment charges for new born baby are separately reimmbursible in addition to delivery charges of mother • Treatment on package rate basies
Production of certificate • Form AA at the time of admission (Rule 9) • Free of medical attendance by AMA (Rule 10) • Treatment at other than HQ. TA is admissible (Rule 11) • Anti-rabic (special medical treatment) (Rule 12)
Reimbursement of medical expensesRule 14 • Free treatment in govt. Hospital as certified by AMA • Cost of preparation like foods, tonics, toilet, preparation, disinfectants not admissible. • Sales tax refundable • Ambulance • Sterelization charges not payable by G.S. • ECG charges refundable
The cost of ayurvediv, unani, homoeopathy medicines refundable as per list, Director Indian system of medicine and homoeopathy • Non cosmetic – Dental treatment as out patient in govt. Hospital or authorised Hospitals are reimbursible
Artificial appliances are reimbursible (Pay not exeeding 15600) • Cost of spectacles once in two years • purchase of hearing aid once in service • The reimbursement of the medical expenses in respect of the diagnostic procedures and treatment taken in the authorised Hospital and medical institution (schedule 1) shall be at the same rate fixed for package rate by the ministry of health and family welfare GOI under (CGHS) from time to time
Claims of reimbursementRule 15 • Purchase of medicine – essentiality certificate form B • MR Bill - Form C • voucher to be submitted Within 3 months • Delay condonation • When a GS is on duty, Leave in any place out side the state FD sanction is required for the claim
