HLT MET Online DQM Status & Plans Xiaowen Lei, Ken Johns, Venkat Kaushik University of Arizona
Status of DQM Histogram Production • Our monitored histogram list also includes the following. No dqmf checks for these now. • L2MET: L2METx, L2METy; corresponding L1MET histograms; L2SumET from muons. • EFMET: EFMETx, EFMETy; histograms for muon contribution to MET. • None of the MET histograms were produced in M6 • There was a problem with automatic saving of the histogram files at the end of run • But MC playback runs looked ok in April technical run (using ATLASHLT 14.0.10) • Next two slides shows sample histograms from April technical run
Status of DQMF Configuration Files • DQM_L2MissingET.xml and DQM_EFMissingET.xml couldn’t be used in M6 because of a change in directory names. A “CosmicAllTE” part has been added to the directory names. • The two configuration files were modified to include the “CosmicAllTE” part later and collected. • We are currently working on adding more sophisticated checks to the configuration files. • E.g.: DQMF checks using reference histograms • First reference histograms from minimum bias files produced using Athena 14.1.0.
Plans • Since the MET slice has been changed quite a lot in 14.1.0, it is time to rethink about monitoring. Diego has requested us to implement necessary changes and aim for 14.2.0 (mid of May). • Now we have much more information that could be useful for monitoring. • MET components: met from different calorimeter sectors met from muons • We need to clearly separate between “Validation” and “Online”+”Cosmics” • We need to reduce the histograms in “Online”+”Cosmics” to a few histograms for the shifters • Updating dqmf configuration files
