  3. The computer case is made to fit the motherboard. But is made mostly to fit the ATX (Advanced Technology Extended) motherboard.

  4. There are three different types of Computer cases. • Tower • Desktop • And Pizza box

  5. Tower Tower sits on the floor and its height is larger than its width.

  6. Desktop Desktop sits on a desk for regular use at one location and its width is larger than its height.

  7. And Finally, Pizza box Pizza box is less than two inches high and is put under the monitor.

  8. Case materials • Cases can be made out of: • Steel • Aluminum • Plastic • And also can be made from: • Wood • Plexiglas

  9. Manufacturers include: Ahanix, Antec, AOpen, Chenbro, Chieftec, Cooler Master, Ever Case, Foxconn, Gigabyte Technology, HEC Compucase, IXIUM, Lian Li, Lin Chi, CIRCLE, ODYSSEY, ZEBRONICS, NZXT, OrigenAE, Raidmax, Shuttle Inc., SilverStone Technology, Thermaltake, Yue Lin, GMC and Zalman.

  12. Of course the power supply supplies power to the rest of the computer.

  13. Power supplies convert the power from the main power line and change it into power that the power supply can transfer to the rest of the computer.

  14. Usually supplies around 100 to 127 volts in North America and 220 to 240 volts in the rest of the world. But there are some that can switch between 115 and 230 volts.

  15. The power output is rated based on what the computers maximum power output is, which is usually 300 to 500 Watts.

  17. The life of power supplies is measured by their average time between failures. That usually will be around 100,000 hours but can be up to 200,000 hours based on the model.
