  2. Transportation to Japan • Trip dates: August 3 – August 12 2009 Itinerary - August 3rd: Depart Phila. Airport at 7:30 a.m. - August 4th: Arrive in Tokyo Airport at 3:30 p.m. - August 12th: Depart Tokyo Airport at 4:50 p.m. Arrive at Phila. Airport at 7:30 p.m.

  3. Transportation Notes - Arrange for a friend to drop you off and pick you up at Philadelphia airport to save $ on parking - Stopover in Seattle, WA, both ways - $3,119.64 roundtrip for two people

In-Japan transportation Main transportation • Nationwide Japan Rail Pass for 7 days (Aug. 5 – Aug. 11) • 28,300 Yen ($283 U.S.) per person…$566 total • Highly cost effective for foreign visitors • Provides unlimited travel on the nationwide network of Japan Railways (JR). • Valid on almost all trains, including urban train lines and the shinkansen (bullet trains), as well as on many JR bus lines.
