ICMS– Israeli CollectionsManagement System • Overview (online) • Principles • Statistics (very dynamic!) • No. of museums: 36 (sometimes cluster of museums) • No. of items: ~ 500,000 • No. of pictures: ~ 350,000 • Archives
Main Steps • Museum selects items to be published • Items are extracted to an Excel report, within ICMS • Files are parsed to suitable format for import to Europeana • Items are uploaded to Europeana using Linked-Heritage Ingestion Tool • Items are searchable and viewable in Europeana web site (not available yet)

Problems Encountered • Transformation from EXCEL to XML • Proper display of Hebrew and European languages • Preset format (Measurements section for example) • Text cut
