What is A Drought ? • A drought is a long period of time with less rainfall. • Droughts can lead up to major problems with water.
How are Droughts a threat to the Southeast? • Droughts are very threatening. They affect many animals like this cow shown in the picture. • No rain leads up to dry grass and cows can’t produce milk that we drink.

What can you do to conserve our water? • 1. You can always turn the water off when brush your teeth. • 2. Don’t use the toilet as a waste basket. • 3. Never take a bath if you don’t need to. • 4. If your car doesn’t need to be washed DO NOT WASH it! • 5. Take shorter showers if possible.
