  2. 3 core topics that the whole school follows: • Use netbooks, iPads and laptops across the curriculum. • Topics are taught specifically and used across the curriculum. • Reception- supporting learning and ELG. • Current Topics: • Year 1 – Data Handling • Year 2 – Search Engine Skills • Year 3 – Emailing • Year 4 – Blogging • Year 5 – Podcasting • Year 6 – Spread sheets ICT at St James

  3. Safer Internet Day • ‘Connect with Respect.’ • Whole school assemblies. • Whole school activities. • Using different technologies – iPad, kindle, kindle fire, nook, computers, laptops, notebooks. • Age appropriate ideas and activities.

  4. Ideas from the Children • Internet Buddies • Sensible and responsible. • Always tell an adult if you see something inappropriate. • Use the laptops/iPads to support their learning. • Try to use technology at home.

Steps in school. • Children are monitored by an adult at all times when on the internet. • Use given websites and when researching using keywords the teacher has searched for already. • Know the system for reporting any inappropriate content- immediately tell staff. • LGfL filtering system. • No access to social networking/most games websites.

Facebook Checklist. • Xbox/games consoles- no filtering, very few privacy settings.
