Lincolnshire Co-operative Community Champions Research 4 stores surveyed before launch and 6 months after launch 56% of people surveyed thought that our profits went back to the community this represents a 7% increase since Community Champions was introduced 39% of people surveyed could name a charity we had supported unprompted this represents a 24% increase (up from 15%) in one store 54% of people could name a charity we had supported, representing a 38% increase
Lincolnshire Co-operative Community Champions Facts & figures In first 6 months: 280 charities on central list 1,100 members chose their own charity Over 300 charities applications to be nominated Raised over £114,000 Donated over £5,400 via stores for small prizes to 370 charities & community groups

Local charities National charities with a local branch – where money is for the benefit of local people Local community groups i.e. community halls; junior sports; schools; churches; playgroups; environmental groups; disability sports; animal welfare (must have bank account)
