  2. How They Work • AIM and ICQ are chat programs. • AIM and ICQ allow people from all over the world to communicate through text almost instantaneously.

  3. How to use them • AIM and ICQ are programs that need to be downloaded off the internet. To do this, connect to either www.AIM.com for AIM, Or www.ICQ.com for ICQ. • These chat programs have many different features that allow people to communicate in different ways, for instance, with AIM one can play online games with friends while chatting, exchange photos, or even have a video chat.

How to use them • While using these programs one should exercise extreme caution! • There are many pedophiles and criminals that could stalk you or steal your information or even your identity. • You should also not connect with anyone you do not know/trust. Your computer could catch a virus or someone might steal your information.
