Think of something big . . .
No, no. I mean something REALLY BIG! That’s the sun. Check this NASA photo. . . Our sun.
The earth. Approximate size of the earth in relation to the sun. [The earth can fit into the volume of the sun a million times.] Now look at that blue ball -- down on the right. The little one. That’s us.

That's our planet, complete with all our biggest stuff . . .
Along with Bertie, there are about six billion other folks. Did you know that?
Let’s test our general knowledge... See if you can finish the words of this famous 1848 song: “All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small; All thing wise and wonderful . . . ”
...the tiny flowers... ...little kittens... ...the snowflake... Did you get it? The answer is: “The Lord God made them all.” Yep. God made everything...
Oh, He also made the sun. Think about that for a moment. Go on . . . think deeply. Philosophize. Meditate. Contemplate. What sort of Being could make the sun?

Here’s another deep thought. If God made the massive sun (and it's just an average star--and there are billions of stars), then He should be held in unspeakable awe, respect, reverence.
Have you held Him in awe, or have you used His Name in vain? Even once? If you have, then think about what you have done. You have used His holy Name as a curse to express disgust. That's called "blasphemy," which is a very serious sin, and the Bible warns that "The Lord will not hold him guiltless, who takes His Name in vain." Think about it...
This incredibly powerful Creator, the One who made this universe is perfect, holy, and righteous, and He has set aside a Day in which He will judge the world in righteousness.
How will you do when you stand before Him on that Day? Does that thought scare you? It should. The Bible says, "It's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God." Let's see if you should be fearful...
We will look briefly at some of the Ten Commandments: Is God first in your life? Have you made an idol for yourself? Have you ever used God's holy name in vain? Have you kept the Sabbath holy? Have you always honoured your parents implicitly? Have you hated anyone? Then the Bible says you are a murderer (1 John. 3:15).
We will look briefly at some of the Ten Commandments: Have you had sex out of marriage? Then you are a fornicator and cannot enter Heaven. Jesus said, "Whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her in his heart." (Mt. 5:28) Have you ever lusted? Have you ever stolen something (irrespective of its value)? Then you are a thief. If you have told just one lie (even if you call it "white"), you are a liar, and cannot enter the Kingdom of God.
Listen to your conscience. The Law leaves us all sinners in God's sight. On Judgment Day we will be found guilty, deserving Hell forever, but because Jesus paid our fine on the cross 2,000 years ago, God can forgive us. The Bible says, "God showed His love for us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Then He rose from the dead, and defeated the power of the grave. If you repent, trust in the Saviour and obey His word, God will forgive your sins and give you everlasting life. Confess your sins to God, put your faith in Jesus Christ, then read the Bible daily and obey what you read. Save Yourself Some Pain
