  2. HND Units covering: Communication, Information Technology, Personal and Interpersonal Skills and Administration What are the key changes?

  3. All Units with ‘F’ code now: • Include updated skills and knowledge to reflect industry standards • Have clear evidence requirements • Better exemplify the required standards • Allow greater flexibility in assessment • Provide more detailed guidance on Core Skills

  4. Units with little or no change: • No changes: • Communication, • Personal Development Planning (Business) • IT Applications: Software 1 • Updating • IT – spreadsheet, database and presentation units • PIP – Developing an individual within a team • Admin – Office Technologies, Office Management

  5. Units with significant change (IT) • 2 IT in Business Units level 7 and 8 • IT in Business: Word Processing and Presentation Applications • IT in Business: Advanced Word Processing • 1 IT Unit replaced by another Unit, level 7 • Using Software Application Packages • 2 IT Units replaced by single 2-credit IT Unit, level 8 • Business Information Management • Project Management

  6. Units with significant change: PIP • Developing Skills for Personal Effectiveness replaced with • Personal Development Planning • Focus on personal goals • Better link to HND award • Best delivered over whole year

  7. Units with significant change: Admin • Office Administration • Outcomes updated and refined to reflect current business needs • Opportunities for links to other Units for delivery and/or assessment
