Biology I College PrepLesson 2: BiomesUsing one i-Pad in a classroom DAY 1 and 2 • Students will take notes on the definitions for ecosystem and biome. • Students will fill in a table with data about different terrestrial biomes using the textbook: • Name of biome • Abiotic Factors (temperature and precipitation ranges) • Biotic Factors (types of plants and animals) • Locations
DAYS 1 and 2 • Students will listen to “My Biome Song” by Mr. Parr
Students will view a video from the i-Pad to • Promethean Board (Ecosystems and Biomes) to • gather more information for the Biome Table. • Students will be given the lyrics to the song and • will sing it in class. DAY 3
Data that can be obtained: Definitions
The Biome Table will be graded. • Information on the biomes will be on a test along with other information from other indicators. • This is also a way that students who are absent can get the information easily when they return. The teacher can give the student the i-Pad with the information to get the missed work.
