  2. TIPS • The school computers support the CHROME browser – ONLY • Avoid using PowerPoint sound files and too many animations • Use Audio files – mp3 • URL required for all images – place on front of slide as a footer

  3. Hyperlinks can be inserted for: Text to website Image to website Link text or an image to a video Insert: Audio File

  4. Right click…Select “Hyperlink”

  5. Locate the website URL for the link

  6. Remember to click OK

  7. Example: • College Statistics A Hyperlink is now created. Note the underlining of the word. When placing the cursor over the word, it becomes a hot link to the chosen website.

  8. Example: Just like the text example, insert the website URL and click OK. This picture is now a hot link.

  9. Linking to a YouTube Video • Select “Insert” • Compose text on your slide and highlight it • Locate YouTube video and copy URL • Select Hyperlink from the ribbon and enter the URL in the Address blank • Click OK Hot Link is indicated by underlining.

  10. Example: Fire Fighting This video is a demonstration of working with powders to put out a fire.

  11. Inserting Audio Files in PPT • Audio files can be downloaded from AP Images (POWER Library) • Search AP Images use the Media drop down menu and select sound bank

  12. Insert search terms. Look/listen to results. Download as a MP3 Select from file. Insert as a sound file and play on click.
