Pro: Common Sense • What does Politics mean? – access to resources • Against: traditional approach to development would be respected; not western societies 5 billion people; political participation of women is viewed as evil; hampers development rather than advance it; 2 outcomes: either non involved; even if they involve they do not function properly; this is not a home grown;
Neo conservative – it is fine to have women in politics but they are time poor, which they have to deal with what is most important in life – and they are reluctant; • Pro: access to resources, intellectual issues wasted • Against: it is a man’s job
Pro: Development is about becoming competitive; market economy; • Against: globalization endangering societies; • Pro: should be social infrastructure for women can use • Pro: In order to make a choice you need to have options • Against: women have options: they can work or stay in the family;
Pro: strong segregation: they can occupy only certain type of posts: • Pro: look at society as a whole, strong individuals; • Pro: Conditions were not made to make proper choices; media: the positions that are occupied by an average man could be occupied by higher intelligent women and everybody could profit if it was not gender based; negative selection.
Against: We have women at our party; even at ministerial positions? • There is a need for prepared strategic approach how to answer this reactions; Expect the opposition; • When asking questions you send a message to the others.
