  1. “Stakeholder view on the GEO Supersites” Presented by Francesco Casu (CNR/IREA) as SSEP partner On behalf of Wolfgang Lengert (ERS and ADM Aeolus Mission Manager)

  2. Stakeholders view (1/3) • Beside support to GEO and the humanitarian aspects of the Supersite objectives, the GEO Supersite are also an excellent vehicle to get ESA data better exploited because of: • Cross domain context • New communities (in-situ) are joining and work with ERS/Envisat data • Commitment in a joint effort, as outlined in Strategic Plan, to support the science •  This combination makes ESA a reliable partner

  3. Stakeholders view (2/3) • Structured collaboration within CEOS and EPOS is very important • The coordination effort of UNAVCO is very useful • Thanks to Susanna (UNAVCO) for having maintained the Supersite web portal, initiating on-line collaboration and also for maintaining the ESA Virtual Archive holding now more than 56,000 products.

  4. Stakeholders view (3/3) ESA is extending the UNAVCO initiated on-line collaboration using cloud computing assets • Data, tools, computing, peers, results, …. Should all be on the same platform
