  3. What you will need… • To be able to comprehend this power point you will need an understanding of the ranking structure and the promotion system within UGC.

  4. How to Get promoted • On UGC360.com there is a list of ways to get promoted. Just look for your current rank, then once you have found it look at the next rank up and check the requirements for it. Once you have completed the requirements you will be notified next meeting if you have been promoted or not. If you feel as if you should have been promoted inform your captain to notify your Colonel.

  5. Types of Promotions There are three types of promotions labeled A, B, and C. • Regular Promotions • Battalion Split promotions • Brigade Creation Promotions

  6. A -Regular Promotions • This section will show you in depth what the regular, steady promotion process would look like. • Focused on Officer levels to give a basic understanding. The same principal applies to all the lower ranking members with the colonel deciding who gets ranked up.

  7. Without Promotion

  8. Promotion In Progress • Colonels Move up to Become General with permission of the Senior Executives • Lt. Colonel moves up to Colonel spot dependant on permission of Generals. (In some cases the Major may be appointed Colonel) • One Captain moves up to Lt. Colonel or Major • From one Captain decides a Lieutenant to take his place. • A master sergeant will then fill the Lieutenant spot and so on.

  9. Lets say for the sake of simplicity.. The Colonel Moves up. The Lt. Colonel Takes his place. The Major moves to Lt. Colonel. Alpha Captain moves to Major. And Lieutenant (mem.8) moves to Captain. A Master Sergeant will fill the Lieutenant spot.

  10. After • Once everything is set into place, when the positions become available again another promotion stage begins. • Keep in mind any Captain could be chosen to become to the new Major (or Lt. Colonel). • Just as either of the two Lieutenants could become the new Captain.

  11. B - Battalion Split Promotion • A complicated process that may take a couple weeks to steady out from. I will attempt to simplify this as much as possible. • Focused on Officer levels since ranks below this are only divided evenly throughout the new companies.

  12. Without promotion

  13. Promotion in Progress • Many things happen during this procedure that must be noted carefully. • Colonels move up to become Generals (with permission from Senior Executives) • The Lt. Colonel and Major both become Colonels • The four captains become either Lt. Colonels or Majors by command of the former Colonel. • With ( Not including the Captain and Two Lieutenants) 20 – 22 members per company, they are split into two, 10-11 member companies with the Lieutenants each taking a company. • 4 companies split into two will make 8 evenly matched companies, 4 per battalion. • A new name must be made for the second new battalion while the first retains the old name. • New tags must be made for the battalion and each of the companies.

  14. Alpha Captain is now Lt. Colonel in Battalion 1 Bravo Captain is now Major in Battalion 1 Lieutenant (Member 8) is now Alpha Captain of Battalion 1 Colonel is now moved up to General Position Lieutenant (Member 12) is now Charlie Captain of Battalion 1 Lt. Colonel of Original Battalion has moved to Colonel of Battalion 1 Lieutenant (member 13) Is now Charlie Captain in Battalion 2 Lieutenant (member 9) Is now Alpha Captain in Battalion 2 Lieutenant (Member 10) is now Bravo Captain of Battalion 1 Lieutenant (Member 14) is now Delta Captain of Battalion 1 Lieutenant (member 11) Is now Bravo Captain in Battalion 2 Delta Captain is now Major in Battalion 2 Changes to note: Major is now Colonel of Battalion 2 Charlie Captain is now Lt. Colonel in Battalion 2 Lieutenant (member 15) Is now Delta Captain in Battalion 2 One last note to make, All lieutenants have been replaced by the master sergeants of the companies.

  15. After • Although in this diagram the Alpha company captain becomes the Lt. Colonel this is decided by the colonel, Bravo captain may be chosen as Lt. Colonel. • Once this process is complete the new tags must be made for the new battalion and the new companies. • It is the colonels responsibility to ensure not only his/her tag has been made but ensure that each captain has made their tag as well. • With that said, It is the captains job to make the tag, but the colonels job to enforce it. • Once finished recruiting goes back to normal until it is time for the next battalion split.

  16. The creation of a new “Executives” Section will need to be made in order for the Generals to move up. C – Brigade Split • When It comes time that a new Division must be made a new section of leadership must be made. As it stands, this is the Hierarchy of Rank from Major to the Senior Executives.

  17. This is a lot more simple then a Battalion split since there is 4 Battalions to one Brigade. All the members from two of the Battalions will be simply moving over to the new Brigade. The only thing changing is the addition of the Executive leadership section in which the Generals will be promoted to. This is what One full Brigade will consist of… It will now appear as this after the split.

  18. After • Since originally the Senior Executives were to approve the generals, they will now be approving the Executives. • Furthermore, The executives will be the ones appointing the Generals • Of course now a new Brigade name will have to be made and a two letter abbreviation for the motto/bio.
