D-B’s Tardy / Absence Policy Reminder Please remember that participation in prom and graduation ceremony are tied directly to attendance. Students who accrue instances of tardiness or absenteeism greater than 10% of the time in any one class will be ineligible for these activities.

TENNESSEE GOVERNOR’S SCHOOL The State of Tennessee provides twelve summer programs for gifted and talented high school students. These programs provide challenging and intensive learning experiences in these disciplines: Arts, Agricultural Sciences, Business and IT Leadership, Computational Physics, Emerging Technologies, Engineering, Humanities, International Studies, Prospective Teachers, Sciences, Scientific Exploration of Tennessee Heritage, and Scientific Models and Data Analysis. Governor’s School is open to current 10th and 11th grade students.Applications for the Tennessee Governor’s Schools are available in the Counseling office. Applications must be returned to the Counseling office two weeks prior to the deadline set by the schools. All applications are mailed by the Counseling office. All other Governor’s School Applications are due to the Counseling Office by November 21.

Honors College Scholarship The Buchanan Fellowship Award Eligibility: Apply to MTSU, high school GPA of at least 3.5, ACT composite score of at least 29 (SAT 1280), and completed Buchanan Fellows Application. Benefits: Full tuition (up to 16 hours), $1,000 book allowance, consideration for study abroad scholarships, support for graduate or professional schools.
