Get Those Stop-Watches Ready… • The morning bell rings at 8:05 AM. Students have 10 minutes to visit lockers and report to class. • The tardy bell rings at 8:15 AM. • Our school day begins at 8:15 AM and concludes at 3:35 PM. • Students are welcome to visit the Media Center before school or after school.
Routine, Routine, Routine • 8:15 AM until 8:35 AM – Morning Literacy (reading & writing) • Students are enrolled in four, 65 minute core academic classes. • Each semester students attend two, 45 minute encore classes. • EACH core and encore class receives a numerical grade.
Ready, Set, Go…Car Rider Procedures • Please do NOT park in the faculty parking lot. Students cannot cross the car line to enter the faculty parking lot. • Use the inside lane, closest to the building, for 6th grade students; use the outer lane for 7th and 8th grade students. • If you are first in line, please drive to the end of the sidewalk.
Ready, Set, Go…Car Procedures • Students should not be dropped off before 7:45 a.m. Cars arriving prior to 7:45 a.m. must form a single line. • Late arrival: After 8:10 a.m. a parent/guardian must sign-in his/her student at main office. Students must be seated in homeroom class at the 8:15 AM bell, otherwise the student is tardy. • Students picked up or dropped off in an unauthorized area may face disciplinary action.
Warrior Busses • School authorities make every effort to provide safe, punctual, comfortable, and orderly transportation for students. • The driver can file misconduct reports and the student can receive disciplinary action. • If this occurs, transportation to/from school becomes the responsibility of the student and the parent. • Questions concerning bus transportation should be directed to the Bus Supervisor at 803-548-9448.

Uniform Discipline Code • Our Uniform Discipline Code contains expectations, consequences, and commendations that are consistent in all school settings. • Expectations are posted in all classrooms, the media center, and cafeteria.
Uniform Dress Code • Our Uniform Dress Code is posted on our e-Chalk website. • Having a Uniform Dress Code minimizes bullying and helps students focus on the person…not his/her clothing.
It’s Time to Exercise Our Minds • All certified faculty members offer free tutoring sessions. • The days/times are posted on our e-Chalk homepage. • Media Specialist Sherri Alston also offers extended media center hours for students who need to use media technology and resources.

One Book, One School Program • Faculty members, administrators, and students read the same book. • The 2012 – 2013 One Book, One School read is Roberto Clemente.
Character Education • Laura Loughry serves as our Character Education advisor; she sponsors the Students of the Month program. • During morning literacy, Mrs. Alston also offers a character education “Breakfast Club” program.
