Driving What is good driving? What is bad driving? Are people in your company driving safely? • If not: Why?
Sense • Can you see it?Open door, driver without seatbelts • Can you smell it?Dangerous gasses, petrol • Can you feel it?Unusual vibrations, • Can you hear it?Vehicle coming from behind, vehicle making strange noises One cannot sense everything • Inexperienced, tired, stressed driver • Odourless gasses (carbon monoxide) • People breaking rules • Drivers with extensive experience who become ‘blind’ to the hazards

Seeing It from Another Point of View EXAMPLE: Driver A is driving along a road with two lanes going each way. Driver A is in the fast lane when he notices another driver (B) behind, wanting to overtake. He is not sure how long driver B has been waiting.
