  9. Rationale • A study found that each person would reduce food consumption by 28% • Schools create 30% lessfood waste, and 10% less water waste • Food waste is 17% of landfill mass Methane produced by landfills!!!

Logistics: • Phase 1 – Media • Non invasive campaign targeting students to increase support for removing trays. • Phase 2 - Infrastructure • Improve the infrastructure of the dining halls to support the removal of trays. • Phase 3 – Final Removal of Trays & Accommodations • The actual removal of the trays and accommodating change in dish size • Phase 4 – Educational Awareness Campaign • Educate other colleges in the area
