JOB DESIGN A process of putting to gather various element from a job bearing in mind organizational and individual worker requirements as well as consideration of health , safety , ergonomics . Job design is typically refers to the way that a set of task .
Types of tasks • What tasks are done. • When and how the tasks are done. • How many tasks are done. • In what order the tasks are done. • Factors which effect the work. • Organization of the content and tasks.
A good design incorporates the relationship with organizational goals and values and should be well understood in order to align & prioritize the job responsibility. • Give employees a sense of accomplishment. • Provide good work.
Types Of job design Job Rotation Job Enlargement Job Enrichment Work simplification
Job rotation • Implies the moving of employees from job to job with out any change in the job , in case of job rotation the employees perform a different jobs , but of the same nature .
JOB ENRICHMENT • Job enrichment involves adding motivation factors to job, it is a vertical expansion of a job by adding more responsibility and freedom to do it. • It is a type of improvement in the context of the job , which may give a worker more challenge, more opportunity of growth and more chance to contribute his ideas.
JOB ENLARGEMENT • Job enlargement involves adding more tasks to a job, job enlargement expands job scope ,And gives variety of tasks to the job holder.
WORK SIMPLIFICATION • Each part of the job is assigned to a worker who does the same task over to over again enables the worker to gain proficiency and fitness in doing the repetitive tasks. This increases worker’s productivity on the one hand and in turns profit to the others……….
