T T S Training Student Trainers An Overview
This TST Series is for Students that want to be a part of a Discipleship Re-Revolution (Spiritual Awakening)
True Christianity is a Relationship with Jesus Christ. It is not membership in an organization, study group, or social program. Establishing and maintaining a Relationship with Christ takes daily Discipline.
There is a big difference between a Disciple and a Trainer. Our churches have emphasized transfer of knowledge through preaching, Sunday school, special classes, etc. Teaching transfers knowledge but training changes behavior. A Disciple is a student or a learner. A Trainer is a Disciple that makes Disciples that will make Disciples
God the Son Came Down to Earth Father Son Holy Spirit GRACE Grace Cloud of Sin Separates Faith
We must have a radical paradigm shift back to the basics as outlined in the book of Acts Our commission is to build the Kingdom rather than keep trying to patch up the local church!

Think of Students in your school that you know are away from God Fellow Students. We are going to pause for a few minutes while you write these names on this form.
Do not use any ‘Church’ words like “when I was young, I always went to church” or “I accepted Christ when I was 16 years old but got away from Him when I grew older.” Let’s use a few minutes to discuss what Jesus has done in your life. This will be Your Story. Use this form to write out Your Story. Make it very brief.
Example of Your Story: Since I have Christ in my live and have come into a relationship with God, He has changed me, made me His child, and given me eternal life. Keep Your Story Very Short and easy for people to relate to
Or Your Story Might Be : My Life Before Christ Was One of Depression My Life Before Christ Was Without Purpose My Life Before Christ Was Held Hostage by Addictions My Life Before Christ Was Filled with Loneliness But Now I Am Free from my past! You can be also! Let me tell you how.
Your Story The Gospel
Example of a Story Bridge: According to the Bible, God has made you His child too. (Acts 17: 28-29) Your problem is that until you come into relationship with Him, you are lost! But I can show you how to be saved! “As some of your poets have said, ‘We are His offspring.’ And since this is true…” Acts17:28-29-
It is very important that you only use ONE bridge. Practice it often – Be able to use it under all circumstances
Authentic Faith Authentic Faith focuses on a correct understanding of faith. True faith is confidence that God is who He says He is --- and confidence that He will do everything He has promised to do. Principle: God can be trusted. He will do all He has promised to do. Proverbs 3:5-6.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6.
Spiritual Disciplines Spiritual Disciplines focuses on the devotional life. True transformation comes from a renewed mind. When you see as God sees, you will do as God says. A Disciple of Christ practices a consistent devotional and prayer life. Romans 12:2.
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2.
Moral Boundaries Clear moral limits must be established and practiced Protect our bodies and emotions by honoring God’s plan for morality Purity paves the way to intimacy. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8
It is God’s will that you be sanctified; that you should avoid sexual immorality; Each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the heather, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong his brother or sister or take advantage of them. The Lord will punish men for all such sins, as we have already told you and warned you. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you His Holy Spirit. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8
Healthy Friendships Friends will have a direct impact on the decisions made and standards chosen. Healthy friendships builds a person up and draws them closer to God; unhealthy friendships brings a person down and causes them to compromise what they know is right. Your friends will determine the direction and quality of your life. Proverbs 13:20
He who walks with the wise grows wise, But a companion of fools suffers harm. Proverbs 13:20
Wise Choices What is the wise thing to do in any situation? Good decision making is more than simply choosing between right and wrong. In light of past experiences and my future dreams, what is the wise thing to do? Ephesians 5:15-17
Ultimate Authority Authority and Freedom are not opposing concepts! True freedom comes from God’s ultimate authority and respect for earthly authorities He has placed over us. Maximum freedom is found under God’s authority Romans 13: 1-2
Others First Selfishness comes naturally. Selflessness must be learned. Others First focuses on the true nature of humility and service. Consider others over self. Philippians 2:3-11
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, But made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness and being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself and became obedient to death – even death on a cross! Philippians 2:3-11 Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
