  2. Proverbs • A proverb is a simple and concrete saying, popularly repeated in cultures, that expresses a truth based on common sense or the practical experience of humanity.

  3. Examples of Proverbs • Haste Makes Waste • Mustn’t cry over spilled milk • You catch more flies • with honey than you do with vinegar. • Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. • An apple a day, keeps the doctor away. • If the shoe fits, wear it.

  4. Our ethnic proverbs • Chinese Proverb • Learn till old, live till old, and there is still one third not learned” this means that no matter how old you are there is still more learning or studying left to do.

Religion Summarized • Belief in “Chukwu” – Supreme God • Each person has a “chi” – personal God • Believe in “cosmology” – Four complex parts Creation/supernatural forces/deities/The World And that all of these things are intertwined and affect each other. • Believe that man has control over his destiny. • Believe in Reincarnation
