  2. OBJECTIVE: 75% diversion by 2013 Biggest band for buck short of banning cars and AC: Reduce CO2 by 200 million lbs/year ~2 million CFL’s, or -20,000 cars Anaerobic digestion of wet-stream=10 MW another 180 million/year CO2 reduction 1,000 jobs, $7 million/year disposal savings

  3. YES, WE CAN DO IT • Adjust 3-stream collection: -Recyclables -Source separated organics -Other stuff • Commercial (includes MFR=apts/condo), already mandatory, needs effective enforcement • WEIS 3 primary recommendations
