APC Submission Process • APC meets each Wednesday (except 4th Wednesday of the month). • Submit paperandelectronic copies to Mindy Martynowicz in the Office for Academic Affairs (OAA) by 5:00 p.m. on the prior Thursday.
APC Submission Process • Obtain appropriate signatures before submitting form to OAA. • Department or Division Chair • Director of Curriculum (if required) • Director of Teacher Education (if required)
APC Deadlines • September 15th - temporary courses and Critical Connections topics for January and Spring sessions • November 1st - all changes for next year’s catalog • new courses • changes in a catalog course • changes in major/minor requirements • changes to general education program • December 1st - temporary courses, Critical Connections topics, and FYC topics for Fall session
APC Output • Approved • faculty for information or action • Returned • department for clarification • Rejected
For Faculty Information • Substantive changes in catalog courses • Changes in the titles of catalog courses • Changes in the prerequisites for catalog courses • Changes in semester hours for catalog course • Changes in the prefix or the level of catalog courses • Proposals for new temporary courses • Proposals for First-Year Colloquium topics • Proposals for IDIV 420 topics • Changes in APC's decision-making procedures • List of honors courses • Requirements for Senior Comprehensive Evaluations
For Faculty Action • Changes in graduation requirements • Changes in the general education program • Changes in requirements for majors or minors • Changes in existing courses that affect the size of a major or minor • Changes in policies governing the academic life of students • Proposals for new catalog courses • Deletion of catalog courses
Faculty Consideration • Approved • Returned to APC for further consideration • Rejected
