Criteria • We read the book The Mitten and the students had to create a PowerPoint of the winter animals found in the book. The students went to the Zoo in the fall and were asked to take pictures of the animals. Students either used their photos from the zoo or from the internet and then cropped their photo and put them in a short PowerPoint. Students were asked to write a short sentence telling what kind of animal was in the picture.
Grading for this Project. • This would be an example of an A project. • The student followed directions and used to pictures they took at the zoo and cropped each photo. • The student was able to identify the name of each animal and used it in a short sentence. • The student was able to choose a background for the slides.
