The IP Federating Network (IPFN) • An IP ‘ Virtual Private Network ’, with specific Sub Systems connected to it, interconnecting the Wireless (and fixed) accesses for Voice and Data and offering levels of Services • The IPFN shall allow Voice and Data communication VPNs features to share INFORMATION and garantee Security • The IPFN shall offer new Services to the users • The IPFN shall allow interworking • Different ‘ functionnal ’ sub systems are added • mapped to a scalable hardware configuration • Fully digital, where ‘ Voice is Data ’ • Legacy systems into account
