  6. 23G Surgery Procedure Optikon 23G Minimally Invasive Vitrectomy System Step 1 : Displace the conjunctiva on the sclera Step 2 : Block the displaced conjunctiva using the pressure plate Step 3 : Make incisions through a 23G angled sclerotome (Suggested BD 585232) Step 4 : Insert the guides into the incisions using the inserters (gold-gold; steel-steel) Step 5 : Place the infusion cannula into the gold guide Step 6 : Place the plugs in the steel guides using forceps for 23G scleral guides. Step 7: Surgery------ Final step : Remove the guides using forceps for 23G scleral guides.

Insertion of silicon oil, PFCL, coloring agents and so on, has to be performed through a scleral guide using an insulin needle (25G). Don’t use the infusion cannula attached to the stopcock.
