Essential Question How do events in our lives shape us as individuals?
My Thinking • I think my book relates to the essential question because the main character Wendy, every thing she does it goes with the essential question. Also, it relates by how Wendy acts to her friends, about what they think of her and the way she is. Every events shape her, by what people say to her or if they say things behind her back. Some events that formher , are when she was rude to her best friend by leaving her and going to talk to people who she said was rude and didn’t like. That shaped her by other people seeing her and they way shetreat her. If they didn't’t like they way she treated her best friend then they might not want to be friends with her because they don’t want the same thing to happen to them. This shaped her by the way if she is popular or not, or they way they treated her.
Conflict • The main conflict in book is that Rain can’t find out who killed her friend Wendy, and people are just being like rude to Rain. • Wendy wasn’t paying attention to her best friend at the party, like she always did and then she went to hang out with the people who she said she didn’t like. • Rain is trying to find out who killed her friend Wendy but she hasn’t yet. • Wendy doesn’t seem like she cares if she hurts her friends feelings at the party, • Wendy doesn’t feel the need to talk or be nice to her friend who she left at the party. • These all relates to my essential question because if these all didn't’t happened then the character won’t be shape the way they are shape now.
Character • Wendy one of the main character’s, can be really nice to people but at other time she can be….
Point- Of- View • My book is written in first person. Main character explains and tells about the events and happenings in her life. It always says I and they are always using I in the action. Also, my book is in first person because the author is using pronouns and verbs used to refer to the speaker or writer of the language in which they occur.
My Final Answer I think that all events shape who you are or who you hang out with or what you get to do. Even though you might be with someone at that event it can shape you the same or different. Everybody is different from other people, just because your friend does something doesn’t mean you have to do the same thing. Everyone is shape because of what you chose to do. In my book, the Girl in the Park everything that Wendy did formed her. When she was rude to her friend at the party people though she was rude and didn't’t want to be friend with her. Also, this shaped by what her personally is and if Wendy is nice or mean. Wendy is someone who can get formed as good or bad. She is the kind of the person who is in the middle of a scale.
