Do Now: Copy the academic vocabulary Holocaust: The attempted genocide (extermination) of European Jews and others by Nazi Germany during World War II. Contaminate: polluted or impure; ruined. NuremburgLaws: anti-Semitic laws in Nazi Germany (anti-Jewish) Kristallnacht: On November 9th, 1938, Nazis in Germany looted, and burned Jewish stores and Synagogues, often beating Jews in the street. Over 90 Jews were killed. Also called Night of Broken Glass

  3. Why did Hitler hate the Jews?Do not need to copy Some theories are: • His mother was reported as having worked as a maid for a wealthy Jewish family. She was fired from that job after becoming pregnant, and it was assumed that the father was the husband of the house. This would make Hitler part Jewish, through the father. • He was mentally ill. • His rejection from art school. • THERE IS NO REAL PROOF FOR ANY THEORY!!!
