Founded by Pope Julius II in the early 16th century and enlarged by successive pontiffs, the museums are housed in what is known collectively as the Palazzo ApostolicoVaticano. This massive 5.5-hectare complex consists of two palaces – the Vatican palace nearest St Peter’s and the Belvedere Palace – joined by two long galleries. On the inside are three courtyards: the Cortile dellaPigna, the Cortile dellaBiblioteca, and, to the south, the Cortile del Belvedere. It is open from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. After that we are going to the Ostia Lido Beach.

  4. 3rd Day On the 3rd day, at 10 we are going to go see then Piazza di Spagna & the Spanish Steps. The are steps built by the Spanish and they give a great view of Rome. They lead to the French ChiesadellaTrinitàdeiMonti, which was commissioned by King Louis XII of France. In addition to the great views from outside, it boasts some wonderful frescoes by Daniele daVolterra. After this we will quickly go eat lunch then head to the Trevi Fountain. It almost fills an entire piazza, and is Rome’s most famous statue. The beautiful fountain was designed by  Nicola Salvi in 1732. It depicts Neptune's chariot being led by Tritons with sea horses one wild, one docile representing the moods of the sea. After a long day we will eat dinner and head back to the hotel.

  5. 4th Day On the 4th day we are going to see the St. Peter’s Basillisca. In Vatican City, a city of astounding churches, St Peter’s Basilica outdazzles them all. Awe-inspiringly huge, rich and spectacular, it’s a monument to centuries of artistic genius. Arguably one of the finest Cathedrals in the entire world, St. Peter's is the spiritual center of the Vatican and the product of many of Italy's great Renaissance's architects, among them Bramante, Raphael and Michelangelo. We will stay there the whole day then come back to the hotel.
