  6. So what exactly is a preposition? The word that connects a noun, pronoun, or phrase to the other words in a sentence; therefore, giving a definite location. The cat is lying the table Against Under Upon Near

  7. Prepositional Phrases The prepositional phrase is made up of a preposition, what word it indicates, and any adverbs or adjectives that describe it. The tiger stalked its prey with hatred. With hatred is the Prepositonal phrase
