Aims of the Session 1 Increase awareness of the mental health agenda (locally and nationally) 2 Share an enhanced model for the local Mental Health Partnership Board 3 Improve engagement with our Third Sector partners
Did you know - that in 2009/2010 • 1,500 + residents in Warrington with a diagnosis of a severe and enduring mental illness • Increased risk of coronary heart disease, diabetes, infections and respiratory disease • Approximately 26,100 adults will be experiencing a common mental disorder • Individuals with depressive disorders are about twice as likely to develop coronary artery disease, twice as likely to have a stroke and four times as likely to have a myocardial infarction (heart attack) as people who are not depressed. • WCCG spent £25m on mental health in 2013/14
Aim 1Increase awareness of the MH agenda • Closing the Gap (DoH 2014) • Local Commissioning Intentions: • 3 year plan • Later Life and Memory Service • Primary Care Mental Health • Liaison Psychiatry

Aim 3 Hold two networking events a year to share good practice. Agree methods of communication with Third Sector - email updates, reps on working groups etc.
