Large Basin Floods/Droughts • Scale: Regional • RCM offers the reasonable weather prediction • Time scale • Seasonal / Interannual • Target Region: Chao Phraya, Yellow, Yangtze, Mekong, Ganges, others • Bottleneck • Accuracy of Weather Prediction • Large scale Hydrological model • For Droughts: Remote sensing, modeling and assimilation • Possible Achievement in 10 years

  4. Water Resources • Human activities / land use changes / vegetation changes, etc. should be incorporated into (hydrological) models • Understanding of Climate changes • “Assessment for Management”
