  2. Review • So far we have discussed: • 6 step decision making model • Milestones and ups/downs of life (and emotions related to them) • 6 strategies to transition successfully • How are these concepts connected?

  3. Reminder: 6 strategies to transitioning successfully 1- Transitions are hard because they shake your sense of identity (remember: that’s ok) 2- Transitions allow for growth 3- Remind yourself that the change may be a CHOICE (for example, to meet a goal)

  4. 4- focus on other times you transitioned successfully (you can do it again!) 5- remember that while in transition, you can become overly focused on yourself.   5. Task • Read the following quotes about transitioning. 1- Record which of the 6 strategies it addresses. 2- do you agree with it? Why or why not? 3- what are some common themes addressed? • It could be several strategies • It may use a different phrase other than “transitioning” – for example “overcoming obstacles”
