Overview of Course Professional Communications is a one semester TEA approved course designed to develop business, professional, and leadership skills in a nurturing environment. II. Student Objectives Students will be able to: Build meaningful relationships Communicate effectively Demonstrate creative problem solving Realize the importance of life goals and vision Make listening a bigger part of communication Use technology efficiently Grasp the importance of persuasion, values, and standards
  4. Syllabus (continued) III. Activities Professional Communication is a highly interactive experience. Students will present a variety of speeches, participate in group discussion, and partake in class activities. IV. Grading System Major Grades: 60% Speeches Tests Group Presentations Daily Grades: 40% Class Participation Warm Ups In Class Assignments V. Classroom Supplies Pen or Pencil Spiral Notebook Kleenex
  5. Warm Ups Monday: Cartoon Tuesday: SAT Words Wednesday: Quotation Thursday: Reflection Each day you will be asked to complete the task for the listed above warm up. On Thursday, you will turn in the that weeks warm up paper for a daily grade. Please follow the example shown.
  6. Make sure to put your name on the paper. Put the date for each entry. Turn in on Thursday.
