  1. Lesson 38: Interrogativespreview Before we begin please read pages 263-264 “Grammar” of your textbook. This will give you a preview of what you are about to learn. • What is the function of an interrogative? • How do the forms of the interrogative pronoun “quis” compare to the relative pronoun “qui”? • What is the grammatical difference between an interrogative adjective and pronoun? • In terms of Latin form, how do interrogative adjectives and pronouns compare?

  2. Lesson 38: Interrogativespronouns • Major shocker – interrogative pronouns are pronouns which ask a question e.g. who? what? • Interrogative pronouns stand alone i.e. they don’t modify a noun or pronoun. • The forms of interrogative pronouns are very similar, but not identical to, the relative pronouns learned in lesson 36. Differences are in red.

  3. Lesson 38: Interrogativesadjectives • Equally major shocker – interrogative adjectives are adjectives which ask a question e.g. what mime? • Interrogative adjectives must modify a noun and have the same case, number and gender as that noun • The forms of interrogative adjectives are identical to relatives from lesson 36
