  3. Hunt the Wumpus is originally developed by Gregory Yob in 1972. • Michael Genesereth suggested the game is an excellent test-bed environment for intelligent agent systems. Introduction

  4. The Wumpus World is a cave consisting of rooms connected by passageways. • There is only one wumpus in the world, which is a 4X4 grid. • The Wumpus can be shot by the agent. However, the agent only has one arrow. The Wumpus World

  5. Some rooms have bottomless pits, which only the agent can fall into. • The goal is to find and pick up the gold in the cave. The Wumpus World

  6. Performance Measure • Find gold 1000 points • Death lose 1000 points • Kill Wumpus 500 points • Each Action lose 1 point • Shoot arrow lose 1 point PEAS Description

Environment • Cells adjacent to the wumpus smell bad • Cells adjacent to pits have a breeze • The arrow kills the wumpus only if agent is facing the wumpus • There is only one arrow; once shot, agent has no more chances • If agent is in the same cell as gold, agent can grab it • If agent release the gold, it will stay in the cell the agent is currently occupying. • There is a glitter if agent is in the same cell as gold PEAS Description
