“Rejuvenate” the Waiting Area For Kids: • Effective distractions for kids; • Personalize the waiting area (kids drawings artworks etc.) • Music as active distraction and therapy media • Efficient surveillance for kids: “ I-Dog tour guide” • Self check-in (personal data, temperature etc.) • Wayfinding audio aid • Share resources and experiences (audio care-page) • Help the kids keep connected with their parents
“Rejuvenate” the Waiting Area For Parents: • Interactive Information Space • Electronic screen shows the status of waiting; • Interactive education device (Information about the disease and procedure in different room) • Communication space for parents, staff and other social workers • Business corner for parents where they can send email, fax and provide other related services.

Matching Recurring Patients with Preferred Nurses Database to store which patients have had which nurses Rating system for nurses Returning patients will be placed in the available room which has a positively rated nurse More effective over time
WebCams btw Patient and Family • Web camera technology • Used for isolation, ICU and procedures using local anesthesia where family is not allowed in room • Kiosks in waiting room and option to have one at home
