Bump/Dig • Squat with legs slightly flexed • Feet flat on the floor • Back aligned in a vertical lordosis position with COG and BOS correctly distributed • Place hands together • One in a fist with thumb positioned on top of index finger • Other hand wrapping around fist with thumb parallel to opposite thumb • Allow for ball to connect at forearm and slightly thrust upward
Set • This is an overhead pass using anywhere from three to four fingers on each hand. • Pinkies are not to connect with the ball. • Position hands above head with fingers spread • Slightly tilt each hand inward towards one another • Allow for the ball to fall into hands and slightly excel your hands in an upward motion
Hit/Kill • Involves one upper extremity to connect with the ball • Start with arm raised upright and slightly behind head • Hand open and palm closed • Strike the ball in forward motion
